Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to fill the role of Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing moderately complex routine and non-routine accounting work, including compilation, consolidation, reconciliation, analysis of financial reports/data, and accounts payable.

  • Prepares detailed financial reports on a timely basis
  • Maintains accurate ledgers and makes journal entries - (accounting closing)
  • Responsible for managing accounts payable, travel expenses reporting, and other administrative activities
  • Develops and implements financial strategies
  • Manages databases for travel expenses reporting
  • Prepares comprehensive schedules supporting figures contained in financial statements
  • Reconciles information with financial system data
  • Participates in special projects to provide moderately complex accounting information and support
  • Conducts investigations of accounts as needed
  • Communicates with operating or staff personnel to supply or explain data, secure information, or offer additional support
  • Provides advice on accounting-related issues, using proven and documented principles to support recommendations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required
  • 2+ years of general accounting/financial reporting experience
  • Proficiency managing databases, creating pivot tables and leveraging formulas in excel required
  • Experience with corporate tax strongly preferred
