Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing shipping schedules, plans, reports and quotes. They will determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
The Logistics Coordinator will also troubleshoot the shipping process and provide customer assistance as needed. They will enter truckload rates, accessorial charges, fuel surcharge updates and provide problem solving for issues that arise in the TMS.
This role will involve coordinating activities with other departments, customers, and outside trucking firms. The Logistics Coordinator will assist with inventory management, freight shipment coordination, and document preparation.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relevant experience. They will have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as well as strong time management skills.
Able to work collaboratively with others as part of a team, the Logistics Coordinator will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant software and have a working knowledge of a Transportation Management System (TMS).
Required Skills and Qualifications- Possesses knowledge of trucking and transportation industries, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
