A challenging role has become available for a skilled Electrician to work on board our vessels in Antarctica.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of all electrical/electronic installations, machinery automation, navigation, communication systems onboard and ordering of spare parts for these components.

This involves:

  • Maintenance of all electrical equipment
  • Preventive maintenance of all electrical equipment
  • Cyber Security matters
  • Ordering spares using the purchasing ERP system
  • Maintaining up-to-date inventory at all times
  • Preparing reports as required and requested
  • Creating handover notes to oncoming Electricians
  • Submitting weekly reports
  • Reporting in ShipAdmin
  • Supervising the Electrician Assistant

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Certification as an ETR/ETO
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written)
  • A positive and driven attitude

We develop ingredients for use in the aquaculture and animal feed markets, as well as deliver raw materials for production of human health supplements. Our value chain stretches from our vessels and sustainable krill harvesting operations in Antarctica, through our logistics hub in Montevideo, and all the way to customers around the world.

The Company operates a fleet of four vessels, including one cargo vessel and three fishing vessels, leading krill fishing within the Antarctic region. The three fishing vessels operate on the fishing grounds year-round, except for one month in October, which is dedicated to maintenance and repairs while the cargo vessel transports products and crew to and from the fishing grounds throughout the year.
