Lead Welding Specialist

Wabtec seeks a professional with exceptional welding skills to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for preparing, executing and inspecting welding activities in the manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and repair of locomotive components and other products.
About the Job:- You will organize and prepare the workspace according to the activity to be performed, following process instructions and safety directives.
- You will determine the appropriate welding machine according to the activity to be performed, as well as perform necessary adjustments following quality, safety and welding standards.
- You will prepare the product to be worked on, cleaning, sanding, positioning, aiming to ensure quality and compliance with the process.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare the workspace according to the activity to be performed.
- Determine the appropriate welding machine according to the activity to be performed.
- Perform oxyacetylene, MIG, and electrode welding activities in the manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and repair of locomotive components and other products.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
