Job Summary:

Canonical seeks a Senior Security Operations Engineer to lead the design, implementation and evolution of our security practices, techniques, tools, systems and policies.

The Security Operations team is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our infrastructure and product deployments. They develop and implement technical security controls that identify, contain and remediate security threats.

As a Senior Security Operations Engineer, you will work closely with Security leadership to present information and influence change. You will also contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives and drive threat modeling, table top exercises and other SecOps practices across Engineering, IS and Canonical.

Key qualifications include an exceptional academic track record, previous experience working or leading a Security Operation Center, and deep personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security.

You will have expertise in threat modeling and risk management frameworks, knowledge of security architecture and market-leading security tools, and experience contributing to and consuming threat intelligence feeds.
