Key Responsibilities:
This role is available for candidates in Brazil, providing support to both external and internal clients across various time zones. Remote work options are available for suitable applicants.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Field Service Resources, you will be part of a dynamic and high-performing team within Field Service Operations (AMER). Candidates should exhibit strong critical thinking abilities, demonstrate high performance, and possess self-motivation.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct service activities, including overhauls and repairs, on 2-stroke marine diesel engines.
- Execute advanced mechanical troubleshooting, as well as electronic, automation, and system integration tasks related to 2-stroke engines and associated equipment.
- Maintain professional interactions with clients during service execution.
- Oversee the commissioning of service products.
- Lead onsite teams and manage related activities during service execution.
- Provide internal and external updates on the progress of assigned tasks.
- Assist in the creation of Service Work Reports.
- Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä's QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Monitor and report on the status of work orders to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Continuously seek and implement solutions based on best practices.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to safety.
- A desire to enhance your knowledge of 2-stroke engines.
- Relevant technical education or qualifications, supported by experience.
- Hands-on experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul, coupled with practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
- Ability to interact professionally and provide solutions to clients during service execution.
- Experience with medium-speed 2-stroke engines is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous.
