SAP Concur, a leader in integrated travel, expense, and invoice management, is embarking on a journey to reimagine business travel. In an industry becoming increasingly complex, we have an opportunity to rethink the end-to-end shop and book experience. We are building our next-generation Online Booking Tool from the ground up, using new technologies to guide the business traveler, make informed decisions, and help companies meet their objectives around policy compliance and budget control.

Join Our Mission

TripIt, the leading travel itinerary management service from SAP Concur, helps people organize and share their travel plans, no matter where they book. We're looking for multiple Software Developers to help build the next-generation microservices using cloud-first concepts and technologies, including containerization, serverless architecture, and increased use of NoSQL data stores.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver new features as part of an agile team.
  • Work closely with product management, interaction designers, and other engineering teams to incorporate feedback and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Proactively identify ways to make TripIt more robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
  • Own cloud services end-to-end, delivering distributed systems using AWS native services.
  • Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field.
  • Good professional software development and cloud infrastructure engineering experience, preferably in developing consumer web applications.
  • Expertise with server-side web frameworks, such as Python/Django or PHP/Symfony.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and AWS primitives like EC2, AMIs, EKS, and Dynamo.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle, and familiarity with one or more NoSQL databases.
  • DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication to explain complex technical concepts across the organization.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native solutions is preferred.
  • Experience in Travel Technologies is a plus.
