Lead Machine Learning Architect

Xometry is a leading digital marketplace that connects manufacturers with buyers from Fortune 1000 companies. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in exploring new machine learning opportunities and developing artificial intelligence solutions to improve the platform.
Main Responsibilities:- Machine Learning Model Development: Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to predict cost, price, and sourcing options for customers and suppliers.
- Emerging Technology Evaluation: Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define technical solutions based on the latest innovations.
- Model Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor machine learning models and AI performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to documentation and knowledge base.
- ML Modeling Techniques: Experience with state-of-the-art machine learning modeling techniques and approaches like transformers, self-supervised pre-training, generative modeling, LLMs, etc.
- Deep Learning Frameworks: Hands-on experience training and applying models at scale using deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Cloud-Native Software: Cloud-native software craftsperson with hands-on experience with containers, container orchestration, and distributed systems.
- Software Fundamentals: A self-driven attitude with strong software fundamentals, including design patterns, refactoring, OOP, and testing.
- Data Analysis: Data analysis skills with experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years of working experience in engineering teams building large-scale ML-driven user-facing products and 3+ years of experience leading cross-team engineering efforts.
