About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Engineer to join our SAP Commerce Cloud DevOps team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to support, operate, and manage our databases in a multi-tenant application for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient database solutions to support our customers.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to customers in resolving database issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with other teams to define product enhancements and resolve specific issues.
  • Continuously improve existing processes and standards.
  • Document technical solutions and improve our processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent professional experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in database management and data maintenance using SQL Server or Azure SQL.
  • Proficient in SQL Server/ Azure SQL administration, including backup and recovery procedures and database security.
  • Strong expertise and proficiency with database performance tuning.
  • Experience and knowledge of scripting languages/automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong experience working on a cloud platform, particularly MS Azure or AWS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and across a dispersed team.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
