Embedded Software Development Leader

This position plays a pivotal role in driving software development activities from initiation to project closure.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend internal and external management meetings to propel software development projects forward.
- Design and scope solutions for software deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
- Liaise with program core team members to facilitate product development, including PM, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
- Report to customers and escalate issues to upper management as necessary.
- Coordinate technical responses to RFQs related to Software Engineering.
- Interface with OEMs for technical reporting, discussions, and negotiations.
- Identify and select key technologies, components, and ecosystems for local customer needs.
- Participate in program reviews, gate committees, and red alert meetings for program management.
- Contribute to the definition of product roadmaps and strategic plans for the local market.
- Integrate continuous improvement into FCE customer proposals.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in embedded software development and software testing for automotive electronic products, preferably IVI.
- Experience with C/C++, Android OS (AAOS - VHAL, CarUiLib), Linux OS, AUTOSAR, communication protocols, and standards (CAN, Ethernet).
- Deep knowledge of Automotive Software engineering best practices and tools.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IVI development for global OEMs (JP, EU, Americas).
- The ability to work with global teams delivering software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A well-balanced approach between result-oriented and process-oriented mindsets.
- A good understanding of how to manage and control cost and schedule.
- An understanding of Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety (ISO26262), and Cybersecurity (ISO21434) international standards and methodologies.
- Advanced written and spoken English and Portuguese language skills.
