Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Coordinator to join our team in Rio de Janeiro. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient service delivery, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and promoting a safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and repair services to minimize downtime for customer equipment.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers in Latin America, building strong relationships through professional and responsive support.
  • Ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
  • Lead by example by continuously enhancing technical skills to resolve complex mechanical or electrical issues in the field.
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve overall system performance and operational uptime.
  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to industry safety protocols, Emerson policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of service activities.
  • Mentor, coach, and manage the Latin America field service team to achieve high performance.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and implementing solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Marine Field Service Engineer or similar role, with hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex technical equipment or systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing or supervising technical teams, with strong operational oversight in field services.
  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics, blueprints, and system diagrams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Marine industry-standard tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements in field operations.
  • Experience with working extra hours as and when required.
  • Computer literate and experience with MS Office, Excel.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
