Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our organization in Porto Alegre. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our organization's data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize ELT processes to ingest, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources into a centralized data platform.
- Develop and implement strategies for data monitoring, performance optimization, and governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate on data modeling using DBT to transform raw data into well-structured, actionable information.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and data requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging data technologies, tools, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with ELT processes and data integration platforms.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as DBT.
- Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Understanding of data catalog tools such as OpenMetadata or DataHub.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or SQL.
