Head of Cyber Security Strategy

Are you a visionary leader in the field of cyber security? Do you have a passion for driving innovation and excellence in your team?

This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing an effective cyber security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of technical security professionals who are responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the organization's security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies.

The team is responsible for managing the organization's security posture, including identifying and mitigating threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. They will also contribute to the development of open-source threat intelligence initiatives and collaborate with other teams to ensure the organization's security practices are aligned with industry best practices.

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cyber security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Manage a high-performing team of technical security professionals who are responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the organization's security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies.
  • Develop and implement incident response playbooks to ensure effective and efficient response to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the organization's security practices are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of open-source threat intelligence initiatives.

We are looking for a proven leader with a track record of success in the field of cyber security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security architecture and design, as well as experience in leading high-performing teams.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven track record of mitigating advanced threat actors and nation-state threats.
  • Expert technical understanding of SOCs from the ground up.
  • In-depth knowledge of SOC architecture and design, including strategies for logging, firewalls, network segmentation, honeypots, etc.
  • Experience contributing to and consuming threat intelligence feeds.
  • Experience in security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF.
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about their alternative path.
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations.
  • Deep personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security.
  • Leadership and management ability.
  • Excellent business English writing and presentation skills.
