The primary function of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our network infrastructure. This entails monitoring both transmission and IP networks, as well as the underlying infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:- Continuously monitor customer services across multiple platforms and take prompt action on alarm-generated incidents, in addition to customer-initiated issues. Conduct thorough troubleshooting to resolve these problems efficiently.
- Engage with third-party providers (hardware, network, FLM) to collaborate on troubleshooting efforts.
- Take ownership of incident resolution by conducting in-depth analysis and troubleshooting, including joint trouble-shooting with vendors or customers when necessary.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities to minimize disruptions.
- Contribute to knowledge database by suggesting best practices and documenting lessons learned.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in operational knowledge of current platforms (IP: Cisco, Arista, Juniper), Mobile Data and Transmission (fiber and xWDM: Infinera, Ciena).
- Advanced technical expertise in troubleshooting (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, DWDM).
- Experience working in international telecom environments (NOC, Technical Support).
- Able to demonstrate operational leadership, making swift decisions and executing them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and transform it into actionable knowledge.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in professional English and Spanish language.
