Accounting Professional Opportunity

About the Role:

An experienced accounting professional is required to support and build out a greenfield financial system. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial products, and trade flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive approach to defining, setting up, or troubleshooting issues arising from day-to-day activities on a financial system instance.
  2. Create solutions to Back Office (BO) / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
  3. Manage projects / tasks and revise as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  4. Establish methodology and best practices for BO / Accounting / Operations / Finance requirements.
  5. Ensure supporting documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  6. Work with business and technology stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
  7. Submit status reports to stakeholders; coordinate updates to steering committees.
  8. Collaborate with functional or business stakeholders to achieve clear outcomes/deliverables.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in Capital Markets and on financial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Deep knowledge of financial products across assets.
  • Proven track record of delivering accounting and finance solutions within financial systems.
  • Experience adhering to governance frameworks, implementation, and handover to BAU.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems, valuation, and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and business resources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a must.

  • Ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
