Senior Power Transformer Engineer

Our organization is seeking a Power Transformer Specialist to join our Technical Services Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level technical support and expertise in power transformer selection, installation, maintenance, and retirement.
Main Responsibilities- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on all critical equipment failures.
- Review and improve power transformers' maintenance programs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Provide technical consultation to identify and review critical spare parts lists of existing equipment.
- Assess the condition of aging power transformers and provide technical recommendations.
- Troubleshoot failures, repairs, and evaluate if equipment meets its intended or existing service conditions.
- Provide engineering inputs on repair details and offer onsite technical support for critical power transformers.
- Represent the organization in industry and professional organizations that address electrical codes and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Power Transformer Operation and Maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience as a transformer specialist, including contributions in international conferences or employment by leading Power Transformer Manufacturers.
- Deep technical knowledge of transformer construction and design practices covering Distribution and Transmission type transformers.
- Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Tests and compliance with manufacturing standards such as IEC.
- Participation in relevant CIGRE Working Groups.
