Job Description

**Role Purpose**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Wipro Technologies. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
  • Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user manuals.

Core Skills:

  • Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.
  • Experience with cloud architecture for large-scale deployments.
  • Strong coding methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, web frameworks like Spring, Ruby on Rails, and Tomcat.
  • Relational and object databases like MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, and Cassandra.
  • Experience with cloud dev ops, CI tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps, and code quality tools like SonarQube.
  • Experience with source control revision tools like GIT and GitHub.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with AWS services like EKS, EB, EC2, AWS Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and Cloud Formation.
  • Solid knowledge of API gateways and load balancing.
  • Linux administration and maintenance, including bash scripts.
  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS management, and firewall policies.
  • Queue systems like RabbitMQ, Apache ActiveMQ, and Apache Kafka.
  • Alerting and monitoring for cloud platforms with tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Cloudwatch, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of large-scale global deployments in multiple regions and zones.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments for microservices.
