Violence in Agrarian Conflicts Impact on Female Leaders

The role requires analyzing the specific impacts of agrarian conflicts on female peasant leaders.

Job Description
  • Analyze data and information on agrarian conflicts with a focus on the analysis of the specific impacts on women leaders.

In collaboration with the supervisor, determine which states should be selected as the object of analysis in each geographic region. The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct bibliographic research and data surveys.
  • Prepare technical reports relevant to the activities of the Terms of Reference.
  • Subsidize and monitor actions developed on the subject of Impacts of Violence in Agrarian Conflicts on Female Peasant Leaders.
  • Provide the MDA with information and parameters regarding the topic pertinent to the Terms of Reference.
  • Perform technical systematization of events on the subject of Impacts of Violence in Agrarian Conflicts on Female Peasant Leaders.
  • Prepare the Work Plan and Products as established in the Terms of Reference.
Minimum Requirements
  • University degree in Agricultural Sciences.
  • Minimum professional experience of 08 (eight) years in professional and/or militant work with rural women.
  • Working knowledge of English and Portuguese.
  • National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in popular education methodology or work with social movements in the countryside, forest, and/or waters; Experience with the implementation of public policies for rural women.
  • Professional experience with human rights, peasant conflicts, and peasant struggles.
  • Participation in studies on human rights, rural women, peasant conflicts, peasant struggles, or implementation of public policies for family farming.
  • Doctorate in the area of social sciences according to the CAPES table of areas of knowledge.
