Instrument Technician

We are looking for an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. As an Instrument Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation equipment.

About the Role
  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Dismantle and reassemble instrumentation equipment ensuring that it is safe to do so.
    • Maintain the condition of instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose faults in equipment and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
    • Monitor and maintain pollution control measures to prevent environmental damage.
    • Participate in emergency response drills and training exercises to ensure competence in crisis situations.
  • Requirements:
    • Proven experience in instrument engineering or a related field.
    • Qualification in instrument engineering or a related field (e.g. N/SVQ/HNC/HND).
    • Good understanding of mechanical isolation standards and risk assessment.
    • Experience with hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
    • Medical fitness for offshore work (e.g. ENG1).
  • Personal Skills:
    • Safety awareness and a proactive approach to minimizing risks.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • High standard of technical knowledge in pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
    • Ability to use standard management system software and diagnostic tools.
