Job Description

As a seasoned cost professional, you will be responsible for spearheading the industrial costing system of our new factory. This entails ensuring accurate recording and allocation of production costs, direct and indirect labor, direct materials, overhead, and other fixed and variable costs.

You will determine the actual cost of manufactured products, compare them with standard costs, and analyze variances (raw materials, production efficiency, fixed costs, absorption, etc.).

Contribution margin and profitability analysis by product and customer will be performed, and improvements to optimize costs and increase competitiveness will be proposed.

You will participate in the sales price formation process based on costs, collaborating with Pricing, Commercial, and Finance teams.

The preparation of budget, forecasts, and cost and operating expense estimates for the plant will be supported, monitoring and analyzing deviations.

You will actively participate in physical and cycle count inventory processes for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, including accounting reconciliation and adjustment analysis.

Accounting balances of inventories, provisions, and inventory adjustments will be controlled and validated to ensure accuracy of reported information.

Continuous improvement projects will be supported, helping plant management pursue operational efficiency, waste reduction, and optimization of production processes.

Management reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and corrective action proposals will be provided directly to the Plant Director.

Managerial cost reports and operational indicators will be developed and maintained, facilitating decision-making for Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.

Collaboration with Engineering, Production Planning (PCP), Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality teams will be required to analyze product structures (BOM), production routings, time and method studies, ensuring accurate costing.

Compliance with internal policies and accounting principles (CPC/IFRS), tax regulations, and audit requirements related to industrial costs and inventories will be ensured.
