Policy Communications Specialist - Brazil

We are seeking a skilled Policy Communications Specialist to join our team in Brazil. This role will focus on managing communications activities related to integrity topics and responding to high-profile issues.

  • Manage communications efforts on relevant integrity topics, including media strategy and message development.
  • Lead the company's response to high-profile issues in Brazil, including internal escalation and reporting requirements.
  • Brief press, opinion leaders, and stakeholders on Facebook's approach to protecting its platforms' integrity.
  • Counsel cross-functional partners on communications matters, including media engagement strategy and crisis management.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese, with strong writing and storytelling abilities. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent judgment and negotiation skills.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Politics, Social Sciences, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills in English.
  • Excellent Portuguese verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
