About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Distribution: Assist in the measurement, packaging, and distribution of medications to patient care units, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of medication stock levels, perform inventory checks, and replenish stock as needed.
- Clerical Support: Provide administrative support to the pharmacy team, including data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, such as checking medication labels and expiration dates, to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Grade 12, graduation from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course, plus one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
