About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Core team, specializing in Machine Learning. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that drive innovation and excellence across Google's products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using machine learning algorithms and tools.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to decide on technology choices and ensure best practices.
  • Review and provide feedback on code developed by other engineers to ensure adherence to style guidelines and best practices.
  • Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it to product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage and debug product or system issues, analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting, and with machine learning algorithms and tools.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
