Job Description

As a seasoned Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions to drive business success and improve patient outcomes.

Our team is dedicated to revolutionizing the healthcare industry through cutting-edge technology solutions. We are seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative applications and platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications. Experience in the healthcare sector or EHR platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize our EHR platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
  • Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third-party services.
  • Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform.
  • Participate in the agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with the design team to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front-end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Ability to tackle complex problems, think analytically, and develop innovative solutions.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Attention to Detail:

  • A strong focus on code quality, adherence to design specifications, and a commitment to creating a user-friendly, secure, and efficient platform.
