Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry experience in various functional domains and have expertise in SAP ECC solution design and delivery.

Main Responsibilities

The Senior Functional Consultant will be responsible for partnering with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing functional SAP ECC ERP expertise, research, advisory, and implementation services
  • Developing innovative business solutions and strategic planning engagements
  • Working with offshore teams and client IT staff to review business requirements and create professional deliverables
  • Providing subject matter expertise on SAP ECC applications, configuration-driven, scalable, and manageable solutions
  • Supporting other IT staff in high-priority situations and dedicating time to issue resolution
  • Providing pre-sales consulting assistance with SAP ECC application questions during the sales cycle
  • Developing a macro view of current and future business and technology architecture that aligns with business strategy
  • Leading the development of standards, functional governance, functional design patterns, and IT best practices

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP functional consulting, strong understanding of finance functional processes, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements and Skills

Education

A High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Location

This position can be based anywhere in Japan.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of interfaces with other SAP and non-SAP systems and middleware technologies
  • Configuration knowledge in other SAP domains like SD/MM would be a plus
  • Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Demonstrated experience building solutions for complex or ambiguous areas
