We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Manager to join our operations team at Equinix, Inc. This role involves coordinating and executing commissioning plans for large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofitting live data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Execute and track multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with business operations and construction managers.
- Liaise with internal construction managers and external general contractors for planning and executing commissioning activities.
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track commissioning projects.
- Track and update the project budget for all commissioning activities.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Support senior management in customer interactions, acting as a point of contact when management is unavailable.
- Follow all commissioning processes.
- Meet schedules and due dates based on specific customer contract requirements.
- Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports.
- Write comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, lists of deficiencies, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals.
- Provide project-based feedback to Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment vendors.
- Track the progress of external resources.
- Schedule and run commissioning meetings.
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in data center commissioning, leadership experience in a mission-critical environment, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced English is a must.
