Our Engineering TeamThe Engineering team at Brex includes Data, IT, Security, and Software, responsible for building innovative products and infrastructure for both internal and external users. We have multiple autonomous and collaborative teams who are eager to learn, teach, and constantly improve how things work.
Job DescriptionWe're seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our Application Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will design and build robust platforms and tools to accelerate Brex product development. You will own and maintain critical API infrastructure serving hundreds of requests per second, identify and implement reliability and performance improvements in our backend stack, and uphold our high engineering standards.
Responsibilities- Design and build robust platforms and tools to accelerate Brex product development
- Own and maintain critical API infrastructure serving hundreds of requests per second
- Identify and implement reliability and performance improvements in our backend stack
- Uphold our high engineering standards
- 5+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role
- GraphQL experience, especially familiarity with Federated GraphQL
- Kotlin background (Java and Scala are also acceptable)
- Platform or Full-Stack development background
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project planning skills
- English proficiency/fluency, both written and speaking
