Business Development Manager - Advertising Lead

The role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue through advertising within a product or platform. This requires a deep understanding of various monetization models, user behavior, and market trends. Key responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive plans to optimize revenue generation from advertising, analyzing and optimizing ad performance across various channels and platforms, managing ad networks and partnerships, identifying and exploring new monetization opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate monetization features and align strategies, staying updated on industry trends, and reporting and analyzing results.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Monetization Strategies: Craft and implement comprehensive plans to optimize revenue generation from advertising, considering factors like user experience, retention, and overall business goals.
  • Analyze and Optimize Ad Performance: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize ad performance across various channels and platforms.This includes A/B testing, segmentation, and other techniques to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) like click-through rates, conversion rates, and revenue.
  • Manage Ad Networks and Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with ad networks, SSPs, and other partners to ensure optimal ad delivery and revenue generation.
  • Identify and Explore New Monetization Opportunities: Research and evaluate new ad formats, platforms, and revenue streams to drive growth and innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and data science teams to integrate monetization features, optimize user experience, and align strategies.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously monitor the latest developments in ad technology, user behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Report and Analyze Results: Prepare regular reports and presentations on ad monetization performance, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in ad monetization, preferably within a relevant industry (e.g., mobile gaming, online publishing).
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to optimize ad performance.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including technical teams, business leaders, and external partners.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ad serving platforms, ad networks, and relevant tools for tracking and analyzing ad performance.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term monetization strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to ad delivery, performance, and user experience.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or software development, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development.
  • Able to work in a hybrid format.
