We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Menwell Limited. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust and scalable backend systems using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Design and develop APIs to support our web applications.
- Work closely with our QA team to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
- At least 7 years of commercial experience as a software engineer or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP8+ and modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and patterns.
- Familiarity with version control using Git and associated workflows.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing.
- A strong desire to learn and contribute to the team's work.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks.
