We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team and help us design and develop complex distributed systems that handle real-time financial transactions at scale.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture of our unified payment platform, spearheading the integration of payment gateways, banks, card networks, and alternative payment methods. You will also take a lead role in our transition to a microservices-based architecture for payments.

Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining high-quality, optimized code with robust unit tests and appropriate test coverage. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and guide the team in best practices and efficient coding techniques.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver highly scalable, performant solutions. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the software development lifecycle.

Our ideal candidate has experience with cloud-based technologies, containerization, and DevOps principles. They are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and can adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
