About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer with expertise in Tableau and Snowflake to join our dynamic data team at Insight Global. The Business Intelligence Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data visualization solutions, supporting data warehousing efforts, and ensuring seamless data flow between our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop BI Solutions

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective data visualization solutions using Tableau.

Build, Maintain, and Optimize Tableau Dashboards

Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards that provide insights into business performance, KPIs, and other critical metrics.

Create Intuitive Visual Reports

Create intuitive, interactive, and user-friendly visual reports, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.

Data Integration & Management
  • Develop and Optimize SQL Queries

Develop and optimize SQL queries to pull and aggregate data from multiple sources in Snowflake.

Performance Tuning
  • Identify Performance Bottlenecks

Troubleshooting and Support
  • Provide Ongoing Support

Provide ongoing support for Tableau dashboards, Snowflake performance issues, and other BI tools.

Diagnose and Resolve Technical Issues

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading in Snowflake.

Requirements
  • 7+ Years of Experience

7+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role, with a focus on Tableau and Snowflake.

Strong Expertise in Tableau

Strong expertise in Tableau for building dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

Extensive Experience with Snowflake

Extensive experience with Snowflake, including the creation of scalable data models, writing complex SQL queries.

Proficiency in SQL

Proficiency in SQL (advanced level) for querying, performance tuning, and data transformation.

Solid Understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration.

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with AI Offering

Familiarity with AI offering within Tableau & Snowflake.

Familiarity with Cloud Platforms

Familiarity with cloud platforms - Google Cloud Preferred.
