Job Overview

This role involves the management of materials and supplies within a warehouse environment. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are accurately processed and fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system to manage receipts, transfers, and shipments.
  • In addition, you will be required to convey, sort, and place materials to fill work orders, sales orders, and/or requests for materials, finished goods, and other items as needed.
  • You will also be responsible for verifying and maintaining records of outgoing shipments, as well as assembling, marking, opening, weighing, counting, and verifying various materials, products, and supplies.
  • Forklift operation is also a requirement of this role, as you will need to stack or tier items stored in the warehouse, load and unload trucks when necessary, and palletize and shrink-wrap product.
  • Your attention to detail will be crucial in verifying product to purchase order and completing the required paperwork and labels where applicable.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for completing required cycle counts throughout the fiscal month as required and at year-end, and ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, orderly, and safe.
Requirements
  • Utilization of ERP/MRP systems for order processing and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to verify accuracy of shipments and inventory.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills with ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders.
