About the Role:

LTIMindtree seeks a skilled iSeries COBOL Developer to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create efficient and scalable COBOL programs for the iSeries platform.
  • Develop and implement robust database solutions using DB2 400, CL, and SQLRPG.
  • Analyze and modify complex SQL queries to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop business applications.
  • Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Design and implement stored procedures to improve system efficiency.
  • Work closely with the development team to integrate new features and technologies into existing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
  • Maintain and enhance existing COBOL programs to ensure they continue to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with COBOL programming languages and the iSeries platform.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, including physical and logical files, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with SQL concepts, including query optimization and cursor programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
