Mechanical Simulation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Simulation Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the field of mechanical simulation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in solid mechanics and applied mechanics, with experience in finite element method and numerical modeling. They will be responsible for initiating and advancing technology and product development, ensuring innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

As a Simulation Expert, you will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to overcome complex mechanical challenges and develop world-class products. You will contribute to the future development of high- and medium-voltage products, working on projects from initial client discussion to execution and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Solid Mechanics or Applied Mechanics, with two years of industrial experience in mechanical simulation.

• Knowledge of finite element method and numerical modeling, with extensive experience with commercial software such as ABAQUS.

• Advanced knowledge of ANSYS, COMSOL, and mechanics of high-voltage cables, with ability to articulate thoughts clearly in English and correspond effectively with people of different backgrounds.

The Applied Mechanics Team supports industries worldwide in overcoming complex mechanical challenges interlinked with all sorts of physics across different products and in all stages of the product development cycle.

• Initiate and advance technology and product development
• Understand internal and external customer needs
• Implement creative solutions requiring advanced computational models and complex simulation analyses
• Lead and conduct consulting and R&D projects end-to-end

Requirements:
