Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the maintenance of Health, Safety, and Management Systems, and Operational Requirements.
- Be aware of new sources of safety information and update relevant systems accordingly.
- Implement Safety Management Systems within personal responsibility and operational requirements.
- Issue work orders and request maintenance as necessary to maintain the availability of Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Lifesaving Appliances (LSA).
- Clearly and accurately record results of any maintenance or monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the working environment and operational requirements.
- Assist in carrying out inspections effectively and accurately obtaining and recording results.
- Identify, prioritize, and act upon potential or real hazards or deviations from requirements.
- Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, external and internal inspection/audit teams, and cooperate as required.
- Facilitate access of inspection/audit teams to appropriate information.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a Health and Safety Culture at the workplace.
- Promote positive safety behaviors and attitudes in self and others.
- Effectively report details of incidents and near misses.
- Assist in the investigations or contribute to investigations of workplace incidents or near misses.
- Write clear and unambiguous reports as required.
- Prepare and present demonstrations and information, and perform general security and Heli-Admin duties.
- Assist in the coordination, administration, and delivery of training events.
- Maintain records of all safety training carried out on board and pass current summary listings to Operations Office and Monaco.
- Monitor and maintain pollution control measures.
- Identify, halt, and report unplanned discharges to the environment according to policy, procedure, and regulation.
- Use relevant PPE to deal with unplanned discharges using company procedures.
- Deal with equipment, waste, or other materials for disposal according to the correct procedure.
- Enforce environmental protection and pollution control effectively with colleagues, subordinates, and subcontractors.
- Carry out Emergency Response role.
- Contribute to exercise design and analysis and debriefing after drills.
- Experience in servicing/maintaining Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Lifesaving Appliances (LSA).
- Experience in helicopter operations.
- Familiarity with Safety Management Systems.
- Familiarity in use and operation of PTW, Risk Assessment, Gas Testing.
- Some experience in control and monitoring of all hazardous maintenance activities including hotwork and confined space entry.
- FPSO experience preferred.
- Medically fit with offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
- Personal Skills: Safety aware, positive, assertive, conscientious. Leadership: Good levels of written and spoken English, proactive. Technical: Reasonable standard of technical and professional knowledge, of safety systems and hazards of hydrocarbon systems. IT: Use standard Management System 'Office' package electronic mail system.
