Job Title: Senior Price Reporter

Fastmarkets is a leading provider of price reporting and market intelligence for global commodities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Price Reporter to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Price Reporter will be responsible for producing high-quality price assessments and indices, as well as developing and maintaining a comprehensive contact base. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of market dynamics and be able to analyze complex data to produce accurate and timely market commentary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce price assessments and indices in line with company methodology and IOSCO principles
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive contact base, using all means of communication
  • Deliver actionable market commentary in a timely manner, as well as in-depth features and analysis
  • Take ownership of pricing processes and price development, and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Collaborate with other teams to support the development of new prices and promote current prices
  • Mentor and coach junior reporters to share knowledge and foster growth in the team
Requirements:
  • Practical experience in PRA journalism and writing
  • Strong networking skills and good confident telephone manner
  • Cross-market knowledge of a number of market beats, with deep expertise and reach evident in at least one market
  • Ability to take part in and lead detailed specification reviews, delivering on all compliance standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to take initiative to cover stories, develop price offering, and communicate this offering professionally to market participants
