We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Quality Forestry Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development, planning, and control of operations and research performed in our Madeira Quality Laboratory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Proposing improvements and/or developing new processes and products;
- Performing laboratory technician management, based on the elaboration of an activity schedule for the development of wood density activities, NIR readings (Near Infra Red) and sending samples for analysis at the industrial unit;
- Conducting research on NIR multivariate calibration models, meeting the company's business plan;
- Addressing the area of Genetic Improvement, providing information from the use of NIR technique and data analysis, for identification and mapping of genetic materials with wood quality characteristics for soluble cellulose;
- Developing and proposing solutions to improve quality, reduce production costs, increase productivity and develop new technologies and innovation through the use of appropriate methodologies.
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you have the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree in the related job field;
- At least 3 to 5 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role;
- Willingness to relocate to the job location;
