Life Cycle Assessment Analyst

Job Summary

Optel Vision Inc. is a pioneering company in traceability technologies, developing cutting-edge ESG Compliance Software. We are seeking a highly skilled Life Cycle Assessment Analyst to join our dynamic Sustainability team.

About the Role

As a Life Cycle Assessment Analyst, you will conduct studies and develop sustainability measurement tools, metrics, and regulations for various businesses served by our platform. Your primary responsibilities will include carrying out Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories in diverse scopes and sectors. You will use our ESG Compliance Software to conduct and support LCA projects, focusing on carbon, and empower clients to reduce their environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support LCA-related tasks
  • Integrate LCA data collection and results in our traceability solutions
  • Conduct and support corporate GHG inventory calculations
  • Prepare Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant LCA and GHG reporting standards
  • Write technical reports
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and participate in presales activities
  • Contribute to industry regulation and standard analysis and monitoring, participating in technical workgroups
  • Presentation of Optel Vision Inc.'s outputs to customers
  • Contribution to the development and improvement of our traceability solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree (or any post-graduate degree) in engineering, environmental sciences, and/or sustainable development
  • High autonomy and strong delivery orientation
  • Technical and customer-facing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Adaptability, learning, and tackling new topics and issues
  • Applied knowledge of LCA software (SimaPro, openLCA, GaBi) and databases
  • Experience in ESG regulations and projects is an asset
  • Experience in product development is an asset
  • Prior knowledge and passion for sustainability and life cycle thinking
