As a key member of our cybersecurity team, the Threat Intelligence Lead plays a pivotal role in driving our threat intelligence strategy and execution.
- Strategy Development: This role will be responsible for developing and owning Canonical's threat intelligence strategy, ensuring we stay ahead of emerging threats and capitalize on new opportunities.
- OSINT Research Environments: Build and maintain robust OSINT research environments to support our threat intelligence efforts.
- Tradecraft Development: Develop and refine OSINT tradecraft, principles, and techniques to enhance our capabilities.
- Cyber Threat Analysis: Identify and track targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors through analysis of proprietary and open source datasets.
- Collaboration: Collaborate across teams to inform on activity of interest and ensure our threat intelligence efforts are aligned with business objectives.
- Adversary Tracking: Coordinate adversary/campaign tracking to provide actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
- Community Engagement: Contribute to the wider threat intelligence community, establishing us as a key contributor and thought leader in the space.
- Cybersecurity Advice: Work with product and engineering teams to explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Security Controls: Work with the OPSEC and IS team to help implement/update security controls prioritizing cyber defence.
- Intelligence Gaps: Identify intelligence gaps and propose new tools and research projects to fill them.
