The role of Senior Software Engineer encompasses responsibility for the development and implementation of software solutions. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications that meet business requirements.
About the RoleAs a member of our Data Platform team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining system components that enable data engineers and analysts to deliver their objectives. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and developing solutions that align with those requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Developing software applications using Python, Java, or similar technologies
- Collaborating with analytics engineers and data analysts to drive efficiency in their work
- Designing and implementing tools to improve the product development process and prevent failures
- Ensuring knowledge is shared effectively through internal documentation and personal interaction
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Solid understanding of relational databases fundamentals and proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Familiarity with Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ (Kafka preferred)
- Proficiency with Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane (Kubernetes experience desired)
