As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable data pipelines, robust ETL processes, and efficient data models, ensuring teams have access to high-quality data for informed decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain seamless data flow across systems through ETL/ELT process management.
  • Create and optimize data models and database schemas to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Enhance SQL queries and database performance for efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Oversee data warehouse architecture and management, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
About You
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles, preferably within product-centric companies.
  • Strong experience with Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Airflow, Airbyte, and Metabase.
  • Experience developing and deploying data transformations using AWS Athena and Apache Iceberg tables.
  • Experience using AWS Glue Data Catalog to manage Apache Iceberg tables.
  • Proven ability in SQL query tuning, data modeling, and database design.
  • Experience designing and building dashboards.
  • Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot complex data issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
