About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform UI Developer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our user-facing products and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership: Own and manage the development of our user-facing products and components, including the SAP Concur Homepage, Profile UI, Admin UI, and Core UI libraries and components.
  • UI Technologies: Leverage a variety of UI technologies and tools, such as React, Babel, Webpack, TypeScript, UI Testing frameworks like Jest, testing-library, playwright, and documentation tools like Storybook.
  • Secure Software Development: Apply secure software development practices and tools, including source control (git, semantic versioning, package publishing and maintenance), and dev tooling (package managers, linters, bundlers, etc.).
  • End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership of software development, from architecting and designing to coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Cooperate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers in an Agile environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices, and be willing to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Software Engineering: Familiarity with software engineering principles, with a focus on UI or full-stack development.
  • Web Development: Experience with web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and popular UI frameworks/libraries such as React.
  • DevOps: Experience with DevOps practices, tools such as Git, Webpack, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Technical Leadership: Strong technical leadership abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • APIs and Cloud Services: Experience leveraging APIs (REST, GraphQL) and cloud-based services such as AWS is a plus.
  • Language: Excellent communication skills in English.
