We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of Multipass, a workstation mini-cloud that provides Ubuntu and appliance VMs on demand. As a member of our distributed team, you will play a key role in designing, mentoring, reviewing, and coding high-quality software.

Multipass is an open-source project that enables developers to run builds, test cloud appliances, and try cloud-init scripts locally. Our goal is to provide a seamless user experience, making it easy for developers to work with Multipass. We believe in the importance of quality code, testing, and design, and we expect our engineers to adhere to these principles.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern C++ development, cross-platform development experience on macOS and/or Windows, and knowledge of hypervisor technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, KVM, and QEMU. Experience with software testing and test-driven development is also essential. Open source experience and involvement are highly valued, as well as knowledge of CI systems.
