About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join a growing team focused on Latin America initiatives to support our Application Excellence Business Units team in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee projects that enhance solutions and deliver value to customers, playing an integral part in strategic growth.
  • Coordinate project execution across functions, resolve challenges, and drive successful completion through collaboration with business, technical, and partner teams.
  • Support the lifecycle management of applications, manage third-party contracts, and mentor junior software engineers.
  • Work on a DevOps organization, integrating reporting tools like QlikView or Power BI, ensuring data visualizations meet business needs.
  • Participate in technical design review sessions with Enterprise Architecture teams to discuss the approach for complex integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated from the application support team, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Support vendors and contract management of outsourced services for application support.
  • Explore new low-code solutions or Office 365 management platforms that could improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on coding best practices and architectural patterns.
  • Attend meetings with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code review sessions, providing feedback to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related STEM field with additional post-graduation/specialization in technology.
  • Experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and Angular in the past years.
  • Proven track record in working with reporting tools such as QlikView, Denodo, Power BI, and similar applications.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 management platforms and low-code solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of supply chain-related processes is a plus.
  • Ability to build solutions, but also perform project and vendor management type of work.
  • Management of the technical scope and support for application support contracts, ensuring seamless operations and timely issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Effectively communicate and present to multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate well with business and technology teams to support and enhance existing systems.
  • Thrive in a high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing effectively across projects.
