Master Fabricator

As a skilled welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks in the production, assembly, maintenance, and repair of locomotive components, equipment, and other products. Your primary objective will be to ensure high-quality standards are met while maintaining productivity and efficiency.

• Prepare and organize your workspace according to job requirements, following established processes and EHS guidelines">
• Choose the appropriate welding machine for the task at hand and perform necessary adjustments in accordance with safety, quality, and welding standards">
• Clean, polish, and position products to guarantee adherence to quality and process specifications">
• Carry out oxicutting, MIG welding, and arc welding operations in the production, assembly, maintenance, and repair of locomotive components, equipment, and other products">
• Perform finishing and inspection tasks to ensure products meet established standards">
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams, providing support for process-related activities">
• Operate bridges and cranes equipped with manual or automatic controls, adjusting cargo volume to match equipment capacity for efficient material handling">
• Monitor and report on daily process control and quality reports, as well as update production records as needed">

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in welding, with experience working with various equipment types (oxyacetylene, MIG, and arc). Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of quality control principles and a commitment to following established procedures and safety protocols.

Formal education up to secondary level is required, along with certification in MIG, Arc, and Oxyacetylene welding processes. Prioritizing continuous learning and professional development is essential for success in this role.
