We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Maintenance Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • C Coordinate work orders with supervisors to ensure planned maintenance does not disrupt residential or center activities.
  • B Build, repair, and install countertops, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, walls, building framework, and trim.
  • P Paint interior and exterior walls and trim. Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
  • I Install items such as window shades, venetian blinds, curtain rods, wall & ceiling fans, lights, and door locks. Replace damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings.
  • A Ensure compliance with building codes.
  • D Develop and coordinate plans for reconstruction, capital improvement, or installation of new equipment or buildings with administrators and managers.
  • S Solicit bids for construction/renovation projects as necessary.
  • E Suggest cost-effective alternatives when replacement is necessary.
  • R Estimate the cost of parts and supplies used during scheduled maintenance.

  • Proficiency in building codes and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
