Senior ABAP Developer Job Description

As a senior ABAP developer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our customers in implementing and optimizing their SAP systems. Your area of responsibility will involve developing and maintaining high-quality code, ensuring the efficient performance of backend developments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.

  • Implement strategies for software lifecycle management using standard SAP tools
  • Advise customers on coding best practices and quality assurance topics
  • Execute impact analysis on ABAP code logic for planned upgrades and system conversions
  • Develop optimization strategies and implement them using ABAP programming language
  • Collaborate with global teams to support strategic customer initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering
  • Ability to analyze complex problem situations and develop solution approaches
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English language and Spanish or Portuguese
  • Knowledge of at least one back-end development language and APIs for database integration
  • Experience in multiple software development projects and open-source activities
