About the Role
SBM Offshore is seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team. As a Cost Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner for assigned remits, accountable for stakeholders to achieve business objectives in operational effectiveness and efficiency, reliable financial reporting, and compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
- Provide expert advice, offering insights, ideas, and recommendations on topics that impact the business, ensuring key messages are understood and followed.
- Align work with SBM's and relevant expertise area strategy, proactively planning and completing activities with accuracy and on-time deliverables.
- Ensure a strong focus on and alignment with SBM's Values, designing, interpreting, applying, and upholding SBM's policies and procedures with a high degree of customer focus and confidentiality.
Key Deliverables
- Preparation of monthly Cost Control Report by unit, analyzing distortion regarding budget projections and intermediate forecasts.
- Preparation of the Budget together with the Operations Team, monthly forecasts, and all projections to attend the Board's needs.
- Ensure the availability of information to managers, helping the adequacy of the system to the necessity of information with greater reliability and speed.
- Month-end closing tasks: accounting reconciliations, consolidation by business unit, etc.
- Financial planning and control of expenses, indicating trends and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor's degree.
- Solid experience in Cost Control and Finance Procedures.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Advanced English.
