As a Cloud Hosting Systems Engineer at Metal Toad, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud hosting systems that meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Design and implement cloud hosting systems, including capacity planning, software and instance type selection, allocation, and network design.

• Build and deploy cloud-based systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to ensure repeatability and traceability of changes.

• Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Implement access controls, monitoring tools, and security measures to protect the integrity and security of our systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system performance, monitor system health, and identify areas for improvement.

• Develop and maintain internal systems and customer deployment documentation.

• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure prompt response to system issues and incidents.

• Respond to support tickets and incidents in a timely manner, adhering to Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.

**Requirements:**

• 1+ years of experience in IT/technology, with a focus on cloud computing and system administration.

• Proficiency in AWS Cloud, with experience in designing and implementing cloud hosting systems.

• Possess or achieve the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate within the first two weeks of employment.

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux system administration, as well as scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, and Bash.

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols, with a strong understanding of problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
