Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic financial planning and analysis.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Financial Modeling: Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
  2. SaaS Metrics: Track and analyze key SaaS KPIs such as MRR, ARR, churn, retention, CAC, LTV, and gross margin.
  3. Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis against budget and forecasts, identifying performance drivers.
Accounting & Operational Finance
  1. Monthly Close: Support monthly accounting close by preparing and reviewing journal ledger entries.
  2. Invoice Preparation: Assist with invoice preparation and processing for customers and vendors.
  3. Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable: verify vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile accounts.
  4. Accounts Receivable: Monitor collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and update AR aging reports.
  5. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  6. Auditor Support: Collaborate with external accountants/auditors to support statutory and compliance requirements.
Business Partnering & Reporting
  1. Financial Impact Assessment: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to assess the financial impact of initiatives.
  2. Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports for management, the board, and investors.
  3. Dashboards: Build dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance.
Strategic Projects
  1. Fundraising Support: Support fundraising efforts by preparing investor materials and assisting with financial due diligence.
  2. Scenario Planning: Participate in scenario planning, cost optimization initiatives, and other strategic projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's or CPA/CFA a plus).
  • Work Experience: 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial operations (SaaS experience preferred).
  • SaaS Knowledge: Strong understanding of SaaS business models and subscription metrics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Linear).
  • Accounting Software: Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Stripe).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with shifting priorities.
